What is Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One?

Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One is a graphic novel adaptation of Rebecca Yarros's novel Fourth Wing, featuring the first half (chapters 1–22) of Fourth Wing and adapted by Rebecca Yarros herself! Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume Two will cover the second half of the novel (chapters 22–39) and is forthcoming.

What is a graphic novel?

A graphic novel is like a comic book—it illustrates a story using sequential artwork alongside text.

Who created the artwork?

The art in the graphic novel and the book covers were illustrated by artist Anabel Rossi, along with a team of support artists and colorists. Absolutely no AI was used in the creation of the artwork.

Can children read this book?

No—this is a faithful adaptation of an adult novel intended for adult readers and is rated 18+/mature. While no spicy scenes appear in Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One (since it covers chapters 1–22), spicy scenes will appear in Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume Two and subsequent Empyrean graphic novels.

When can I buy it? What formats is the book available in?

There is a main edition, four retailer exclusive editions, and a deluxe edition of Fourth Wing, The Graphic Novel: Volume One. The main edition will be available in hardcover, paperback, and eBook.

All editions of the book will be on sale April 6, 2027 and are available for preorder now.

What is the difference between the retailer exclusive editions?

Only the cover art is different for the Target, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million/Indigo exclusive editions. Walmart's exclusive edition has the same cover as the main edition and features an exclusive bookmark.

The inside story is exactly the same for all editions. There are no extra chapters, images, or story. It's the same book!
